Interesting idea! The game looks polished and I like all the info on the pause screen. I like the build options and the deck upgrades. I do feel a bit of a mismatch with the main combat though, where I don't feel like I'm making impactful decisions and mostly randomly clicking on graves. Personally I would like to see more lanterns to make give it more of a "Minesweeper" feel, but you could do an auto picker as well. Looking forward to updates!
Thank you for giving it a try!
I wanted most of the impactful decision making to be in the upgrade/build selection that way you can feel like you're turning the RNG in your favor, but I do see where you're coming from.
Fortunately for you, a lot of the unlockable upgrades help with the 'graveyard' decision side of things by adding more reveal options and other ways to influence outcomes :)
I was coming across those upgrades so I thought that might be the case. I still think it wouldn't hurt to surface some of that sooner or at least find a way to cut down on unnecessary clicking.
Oh, ok...
oh dear... were you still able to play after this or did it break completely?
It broke...
The animations in this are unbelievably good.
The only issue is the sound got a bit repetitive.
Are you going to commission music for the full release like with your entry to the last Brackeys jam?
Thank you!
I'm not married to the current sounds either, hopefully I can get something I like in a future version.
As for the music, I like what's in it currently but if enough people don't like the current songs then I might commission some stuff.
The choice of music certainly fits, I just think it's a bit weird to have music commissioned for a jam entry but not a full steam release.
Granted, I'd imagine that it could get a bit expensive with the larger scope, so I'd completely understand if you stick with free stuff.
I don't commission my Jam music, my last 2 entries were group efforts with a musician that I found in the GMTK discord :)
That makes a lot more sense than whatever I was on about.
Thanks for clearing that up.
